Work Experience:

Professor (Dr) Sharan Choudhri is a Surgical Oncology and Surgery, with a wealth of knowledge and clinical experience accumulated in a career spanning over three decades in the Army Medical Corps. He established the first Malignant Diseases Treatment Centre for the Indian Air Force at Command Hospital Air Force, Bangalore, and the Oncology Centre at Base Hospital Delhi Cantt. He honed his operative skills and clinical acumen in the Services where he rose to appointment of Senior Advisor in Surgical Oncology and Surgery to the entire Indian Armed Forces. Subsequently, he was appointed as Professor and HOD at the Dharamshilla Cancer Hospital, and later at Saket City Hospital before his present appointment

Education & Training:

• After obtaining his Graduation and Masters Qualifications from Armed Forces Medical College, Pune, he acquired training in Surgical Oncology at the Malignant Diseases Treatment Centre, INHS Asvini (the premier Naval Command Hospital at Mumbai), and at the Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai.
• Subsequently he was trained in Esophageal Surgery at Kurume Medical University, Fukuoka, Japan; and in Hepato-Biliary Surgery at Shimane Medical University, Izumo, Japan & Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York, USA. He also visited the Michigan State University, Flint, Michigan, USA to gain expertise in Sentinel Lymph Node Technique, a recent technique aimed to minimize surgical morbidity in a variety of cancers.
